| Features• An efficient, mess-free design makes Oxo Good Grips' cherry pitter unlike the others • Removable splatter shield directs juices downward and prevents them from soiling a work area • When not in use, the splatter shield fits inside the front chamber, and a lock holds the Cherry Pitter closed for convenient storage • Sturdy, die-cast zinc construction removes pits with ease; soft, comfortable non-slip handles absorb pressure while tool is squeezed • Extra large to accommodate Bing and Rainier cherries; has a recessed cup to securely hold smaller varieties when pitting
Not so wonderful. This is a nifty little gadget that looked like it would do the job better than my old cherry pitter that has no shield. But even though I held the pitter inside a large mug for the pits to fall into, I still have cherry juice splatters on my shirt. Darn! I will admit it worked quickly and easily. Read more...

Get your kids to eat an apple a day!Really delighted that I ordered this product. I originally thought that it would be great for our weekly apple pie, which it is. Little did I know what a novelty it is to my 5 and 3 year olds. They'll bring me apples just to be able to use this gadget and then they'll eat them because the apples look like bouncy springs. Great for lunchboxes, too. Easy to use once you get the hang of it after a couple of tries. Works well on potatoes, too, as you can make those fun curly fries. Just a neat thing to have in the kitchen, especially for a household with kids. Read more...

| Features• Comfortable nonslip handle, wet or dry • Fruit core removes easily from corer head • Corer head is stainless steel for easy cleaning and precise cut • Large handle hole for easy storage • Safe to use in dishwasher
Not Real Good For Large ApplesI bought this corer based on previous reviews but now I see my review is the only one here and I don't know why that happened. Nonetheless, I usually buy big apples to prepare for dehydration. This corer will not take all of the core out of big apples. It's very well made and sturdy and the handle is easy to grip. The reason for the 3 stars is that it's bore is average size, and it needs to have sharp edges on the long sides so that you can easily turn it in the apple while applying pressure downwards to make a nice, clean removal of the core. It can still be turned, but it takes more force to do so since the sides are blunt and causes the apples to bleed more juice than they need too and hence, a bigger mess to clean up. Simply ramming it through the apple with no turning at the same time is more violent and a waste of energy. (I made all "A's" in college physics so I think about things like that!)
Great for small to medium sized apples but not so great for the big ones. I will continue to use it since I have it, but will just take a knife to cut out the remaining core after slicing it in quarters. Read more...

| Features• Adjustable apple corer and slicer; make perfect snacks, pies, cobblers and tarts • Cuts apple into 8-thick wedges or 16-thin slices • Features comfortable soft touch handles • Made of durable ABS with stainless steel blades • By Amco - innovative, efficient and timeless kitchenware products
So far, so-so good.Pros
Semi-flexible plastic allows less opportunity for breaking.
Blades are decently sharp - cuts with mid to minimal force.
(Still too soon to tell if blades will "warp/bend" sooner rather than later.)
Does a supurb job at "coring".
Fast and easy are both use and cleanup.
Cons
Sometimes difficult to "line up" and use accompanying "cut & catch" tray.
Almost better to just use on a cutting board or the like.
Overall
You can't really find a better bargain for the price these
fruit cutters go for. Professional grade are around $70+.
This cost me $20, and it's close enough and does just
as good a job at what it's designed to do as pro grades do.
Any cutters I've seen around for cheaper, are just that - cheap. Read more...
