Wait till you read this!Wow. I couldn't wait for this opportunity. I was going to BAD MOUTH this one into the ground. It wasn't throwing a very large circle of light...you had to point right at what you wanted to see and I was MAD! Well, I gave it one more shot...three weeks later, with some new batteries. YEOW, I can SEE! I tried the same batteries in my old $20 flashlight. Uhh, was the price worth the difference? Maybe, kinda. Thus, A 4 star. For my next adventure, I think I'll try the Fenix TK40 High Performance Cree LED Flashlight, Maximum 630 Lumens. If something better is out there, someone please let me know.

Bright idea, poor executionThis little pocket light was a gift and a very welcome one. Within a day of getting this light from a friend, we were rescuing some folks, carpet workers who were stranded on a 20 degree, windy night by the side of the road with a dead van. Brrr! The bright light of the LED is sharp, focused and a brilliant blue-white that is very helpful on dark and stormy nights.
The van did get started but..this light gave up the ghost. I think the defect lies in the battery cassette--the insert that holds 4 AAA batteries and makes the contact between the batteries and the led portion to complete the circuit. By fidgeting with the light, I got it working again, but then it gave up and since it's unreliable, it's hardly the thing for whipping out of your pocket to assist stranded motorists or even find your keys in your handbag.
Plus one star for it being a great source of light. Minus 4 stars for quitting working.
