very goodLike many here, had a in-sink-aerator before that was making a ton of noise and had began leaking. I originally tried to find an exact match hoping that I would not need to make any plumbing changes. The reviews for it were pretty clear that the leak was a design flaw and not a one time incident, followed reviews to this one and took the chance.
My past one was hardwired with the romex going into the old disposal. I took the opportunity to add a gfci outlet under the sink for this unit to plug in. That took the most time but its a better way to do it for sure. This thing installed easily, had no trouble. After using it for a week, its pretty quiet - not silent it is a 1 horsepower motor afterall. My garage door opener is a 1/3hp motor ~ think about that when you consider how quiet it is.
Lastly, I'll share an email i got from my wife on Monday while I was at work:
OMG! I've broken away from my 'dish washing mode' to tell you that when I
turned on the disposal, I freak out at the nice smooth quiet noise it made
as the water was going down the drain... for a split second I thought it
was breaking because i didn't hear all that clonking noise from before.

Great product, way better then the cheapies at Wally World.I'm the kind of person who likes to test their gear before relying on it in the backwoods, so I cracked one of these as soon as I opened the package. I was easily able to navigate around a pitch-black house and yard, without the benefit of any other artificial light. It was brighter than other glow sticks I've tried (Coleman brand, for example), and was still putting out enough light to read by a full 12 hours later. The plastic walls are angled instead of round, and are thicker than any others I've tried, which means they should hold up well against accidental cracking in the backpack. No lanyards are included, FYI, but I don't consider that too much of a detriment. Overall: great product, very reasonable price.
