Cool lil' lightSo I got this thing w/ the Amazon suggestions and while it's a cute little light, that's about it. I bought it thinking it'd be similar to a Surefire but man, I was wrong. Mainly, I just wanted it because I thought it was a thumb press style at the end of the light but nope, it's just a regular twist type. Too bad...
The light itself is just a little LED that's just a little bit brighter than those keychain LED things you see at gas stations next to the Skittles. It does look pretty tough though and looks like it's able to handle some pretty crazy abuse. The twist cap at the rear also looks like it's weather sealed as well. But all in all, it's just a cheap little toy.

Ok, so I did a little side-by-side comparison to another LED flashlight that I own and it performs decently. My other one (silver) is a 3-bulb light and runs on these weird style CR2-esque batteries. The Gerber runs on a single AA (easily available), is much more compact, and performs similarly. Oh, and it can function as a thumb press. :) If you twist the back cap 'til the light comes on, then back it off until it goes off, it will then work as a thumb press light. Cool.

Absolutely awesome, just don't get it wet!!These timers are so great, I'm just sorry I didn't order one for every bathroom plus an extra.
The kids love them, for hand washing and teeth brushing. I even find myself using the darned thing!
I have not come across any other way to get the kids to brush their teeth for 2 minutes, and frankly after using it myself I am pretty sure I have never brushed my teeth for 2 whole minutes. It's a great habit to get the kids into and if this helps with that it is worth every penny!
My only comment is that for something that is made to be used at the sink they could be more water resistant. My five year old got one only slightly wet, and it stopped working. I took out the batteries, dried the unit, left it out to dry out the insides, replaced the batteries, and pressed a button. It turned lit up but would not shut off after the 20 seconds or 2 minutes were over. The reset button did not work and I actually ended up pushing that in altogether.
I will be ordering a couple more of these next time I order off Amazon, and the kids now know that they have to be more careful about getting it wet.

Plenty of space for a laptop, plus small items heaped upon the upper shelf, right?
Well, no. You have to get the laptop through the door opening.
The door opening dimensions are: 37.7 cm wide, 16.8 high [14.8" x 6.6"]. However, the door hinge reduces the available width to 36.8 cm [14.5"].
A typical 15" laptop cannot fit straight through the door opening; it must be inserted at an angle and then leveled inside the box. To do that, the shelf must be removed, or somehow pushed up to make space for the laptop rotation.
In summary, the box is difficult to use for routine laptop storage.
Other than that, the box appears sufficiently secure for a college dormitory room. The cable could have been a little thicker, and the clasp catching the cable on the inside could have been a bit sturdier. One can use a heavier cable and lock it on the inside with a regular padlock.
