Does what it says, but physics will limit you!This item refills 1 lb propane bottles about 1/3 to 1/2 full. Even if you put the 1 lb bottle in the freezer to create a vacuum to draw more propane in from the large tank, you'd still only get about 1/2 full. No biggie for me, as I don't mind refilling them again and again for what I use it for (my Camp Chef stove/oven combo).
Now, the real issue is with the 1 lb bottles-they leak once refilled! I have to keep the refilled bottle on my Camp Chef regulator to "seal" them, but I just found out that a Mac Coupler Propane Bottle Cap 2 pack SHOULD seal the bottle so that any leakage will be contained for safety sake. That makes life SO much easier for me!!
Overall, the price is a bit high, but if you use it sufficiently, it will pay for itself in 5 refills or so! I give this product 5 stars as it does what it says it does. Don't blame it for poor refill amounts-that's physics in action.

Fantastic, usable multi-purpose tool!I received a Leatherman Blast as a Christmas gift from my in-laws several years ago. Most pocket-tools or Swiss-Army-Knife-type products are nice to look at, but not functional in the real world. Not the Leatherman Blast. I use mine several times a week, sometimes daily. The tools are not only solid, but very usable in everyday situations. The bits lock (awesome improvement over the original Leatherman tool) and I tend to use the knife, file, saw, and screwdrivers the most. Be careful with the knife, though--it's SUPER sharp. I know, because I was using one without giving it my full attention while on a ladder and ended up needing a few stitches in one of my fingers. *OUCH* But that wasn't the Leatherman's fault... The Blast itself feels extremely solid and well-made. The warranty is excellent; I actually broke a flat-head screwdriver bit on mine through mis-use (I was using it to pry something) and it snapped in half. No problem. Go to Leatherman's site, print out a form, fill it out and send it to them. I got mine back the next week good as new. Leatherman is a company that truly makes GREAT tools that WORK. I often use my Leatherman INSTEAD of other tools: 2 very usable flat-head screwdrivers, a nice Philip's screwdriver, and an AWESOME saw. I've sawed pieces of wood at work, PVC pipe in my basement, even a small tree trunk in my yard. The thing WORKS! Highly recommended--and very nice quality. A true MacGyver tool--and something you'd want to have with you if stuck on a desert island.
