Good for peeling and good gripThis peeler has a good grip and is sharp to make for quick and easy peeling of fruits and potatoes. It is also very easy to clean. The Kitchenaid brand is reliable and it compliments other Kitchenaid items in my kitchen!
The reason for the 4 stars:
I frequently peel potatoes and I used to own a peeler with a little tip shaped like a little trowel to dig out eyes of a potato. This peeler doesn't have that function. Read more...

Born to peelThis product exceeded my expectations - which were already very high going in, based upon the reviews here. It takes nothing more than its own weight - no pressure from you at all (in fact, some negative pressure may be warranted)- to produce the thinnest possible peel and save the most of the vegetable or fruit from the garbage disposal or compost pile. (As one reviewer noted, it really does "glide" through the task.)
This is one of those products just pricey enough to inspire guilt and cause anticipatory buyer's remorse in some. Please, don't let that get to you. Just buy this and you'll feel proud of yourself and may actually have some fun performing what is, after all, a pretty drudgerous (well, it should be a word) task.
It also looks so good it will never see the inside of the drawer but rather will continue to hang in full view in my knife area. Read more...

Best peeler!I used this at a friends house and was very impressed with how easily it peeled. I ordered one from Amazon when I got home, and when it arrived, I donated by other four peelers (I've tried quite a few!) to Purple Heart. It has an ergonomically designed handle that swivels to the contours of the fruit/veg you're peeling, a nice sharp tip for digging out potato eyes, and a smooth action. Read more...

You'll have this for lifeRosle products are made for life. Just holding this peeler in your hand tells you your money has been well spent. Rosle is actually in a class by itself, solid, substantial weight, sharpest of blades and gets the job done with ease. The best way to describe this vegetable peeler is "professional." I am right handed and purchased the right handed model. It can be confusing depending on the way you peel, towards you or away so do a quick demo at home first.
Most kitchen tools today have a rubber handle for "durability" but there is something about all stainless that says "forever." You can't hurt it and it will help you breeze through the tougher jobs like a butternut squash. No more fighting the beast, it peels as easily as an apple. I am very impressed and highly recommend the Rosle swivel peeler. If you are not sure, go with the right/left(both) handed model. Very nice and well worth the price. Read more...

Works wellI bought this peeler several years ago, but am looking at it now to buy a second. (Our current one is missing and having 2 good peelers is not a bad idea.) We also have an Oxo peeler that takes off far too much of a carrot. It might be better for something with a tougher skin, but usually we use a peeler for carrots and this one is much better. I've also had success using it on potatoes. I've been frustrated with enough bad peelers to come back and get a second one of these. Read more...
