| Helpful PhotographsThe very day I recieved this magazine, my hubby was wondering what kind of bird he and his friend had seen earlier that day. Our Birds of the Dakotas book didn't have it listed. I said maybe its a Wyoming bird visiting. I thumbed through the pages and sure enough, right there in a big 3x4 inch picture with identification on the side was the bird he'd seen(the long billed curlew by Tom Ulrich.) I would have to label this magazine a tree hugger resource, with factual reports and call to arms of environmentalists. But if you are looking for great photos of wildlife, this magazines got it.

| Love this MagazineMy kids love Nature Friend Magazine. It has came along way since when I Mother use to get it. It is now full of great pictures and fun things for the kids to do. These are more for the older child, 7 on up I would imagine but my 4 year old loves looking at the pictures. I am continuously fishing them out from underneath his bed. The stories target animals that are found in the US so a child can relate more with this, I think this is why my husband and children find it so fascinating. As soon as we receive an issue, he sits down with the kids and reads it from cover to cover. They are very kid friendly meaning they welcome kids ideas, stories, and opinions and will publish them. I guess this would make it a readers magazine. We love the magazine and I believe it would make a great addition to any home.

| Useful but rarely interestingThis is the only readily available US magazine that presents factual analyses of a good variety of the various crazy claims that the US media are filled with. There are problems, however. First, the coverage is generally far more than a day late and a dollar short... it is very rare that I find anything about claims less than a few years old. Second, if you subscribe, based on my experience, you may not get many of the issues you pay for--- the magazine comes loose and unwrapped with your name and address faintly printed by some ancient dot-printer on the center bottom of the rear page. It is not unusual for me to fail to receive 2 of the 6 yearly issues. Third, the magazine, despite the great public interest in its subject matter, tends to be very, very, very dull. I find the lists of newly published books in the back of each issue to be far more valuable than the editorial contents of the magazine itself.

| Best of the bestRoadracing World magazine is by far the best motorcycle racing magazine in existence. I first started to get into motorcycle road racing a couple of years ago. When I first picked up this oversized magazine at the bookstore, I would not have thought it possible for a magazine author to write an entertaining play by play of a motorcycle race. I was wrong. The descriptions of the races are no less than gripping, and their other articles are also of the highest quality. I enjoy reading this magazine cover to cover. Naturally I am now a devoted subscriber. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in MogoGP, World Superbike, AMA Superbike, and all other motorcycle road races.
