Love it!!!Our son is just a few days shy of 4 months and only likes to be held or to sit on the edge of your lap so he can kick his legs. He really does not like his swing or bouncy seat so we thought instead of getting him a traditional walker we would try a jumperoo. After, reading many reviews on several different products we decided on the rain forest one and we are very glad that we did. He LOVES it. It has toys all the way around and it moves very easily. He can only reach the floor on his tippy-toes but it is enough for it to move instead of just sitting there like in a tradition walker. Our daughter could never make her traditional walker move and she would get mad and never wanted to sit in it, but this jumperoo gives them lots to do.

Great Rain Sound, Just Wish It Would Play ContinuouslyI received this product as a gift and have been using it in my bedtime routine with my 4 1/2 month old with much success. Unlike the reviews for some other sound machines, I cannot detect a repeating sound loop. I always use the "rain" mode and it sounds like continuous heavy rain with the occasional subtle splash of running water (very realistic sounding). I am not a fan of the other noises though. Let's just say that the "heart" sound is not for those recovering from wartime-induced PTSD....The first time I tried this sound, I felt like I needed to duck for cover in the trenches or something! It literally sounds like bombs were being dropped! But seriously, not that I remember what it sounds like to be inside a womb, but the heartbeat sound just doesn't seem very soothing to me! The "whale" sound is quite amusing and the ocean sound seems a bit too stimulating (when the waves come crashing in it gets louder). This doesn't bother me though because I like the "rain" sound so much (it even puts me to sleep while I listen to it through the baby monitor!!), so I don't care that the other sounds need some improvement. The sheep is very cute and soft and my baby seems to love it too.
My only real complaint is that there is not an option for continuous play. The 45-minute option works fine for my baby without causing her to wake-up when it shuts off IF she falls asleep shortly after I turn it on. However, I like to turn it on before I lay her in her crib to create a "sleepy mood" and prepare her for bedtime (while reading a book, rocking her, feeding, etc). Although once it stops, all you have to do is press the preferred sound button to turn it back on, if you want to start it over again while it is still going, you have to turn the nob to turn it off and on again and then press the sound button to get the sounds to play for the 45 minutes again. I still really like this product, I just really wish that there was an option for allowing it play all night if desired because many babies will notice the sound change and wake-up.

It's a good setup, but these monitors don't last more than a yearI have a 2.5 year old and a 10 month old. Since the birth of my first child, I have burned through two Summer handheld monitors. I tried to get the battery replaced on the first, but that solution only worked for a short while. I repurchased thinking I'd have better luck with a second unit. After only a few months, I started having problems with battery life in it. The second unit still works, but the battery won't hold a charge. Therefore, it only operates when it is plugged into the cord. It is still useful, but the portability is gone.
If battery life were not such an issue, the product would be great. I've had recurring problems with these, so I don't think I got a lemon. The batteries just don't last.
