Does what it's supposed toIt works. I am not sure if the cost of the adapter is saving me more many than the phantom power being drained. I suppose over the long run.
Don't buyWorked at first but after a few months the autoshut off feature just stopped working and no amount of adjustment made a difference. Just get a normal power strip and reach down and turn it off!
Adjustment hasn't workedThe power strip has a screw on the side of it that is supposed to allow you to dial in the sensitivity of the 'shut everything' feature...that has never worked for our strip. I would not recommend this strip...which for what it has ended up being is greatly overpriced.
Do Not Work as DescribedPurchased 3 units. The first was hooked up to the entertainment center and no matter how much I tweaked the calibration, it would not consistently power down the slave outlets. Even tried another device in the entertainment center as a control unit, but it wouldn't work dependably (power remained live on the outlets).
For my computer workstation, the control unit (computer) would successfully power down the slave outlets. However, after a period of time I would look in my office and see all three monitors had their orange Standby light on again. The strip would at some point re-power the slave outlets even though the control unit was still powered down.
Returned All Three Strips.
This is a must have!Im using this strip to power my desktop with a dual monitor setup. Saves on electricity. Once I power down the CPU, everything shuts off. no vampire loads!
