They aren't squirrels, they're not chipmunks, they're squnks.I bought one of these for my Samoyed when he was a puppy, and I credit it with giving him the bright idea to disembowel every plush toy I've given him since that point. It lasted for maybe a few weeks before he discovered that not only could he remove the squnks from the stump, but he could ALSO remove the stuffing from the squnks! And then from the stump! (Which, be forewarned, has a plastic disc giving it shape in the bottom, should your dog also happily drag in a curious see-through disc one day.) Be prepared for a lot of green stuffing everywhere if your dog has a zest for plushies.
Great ProductI purchased this toy for my dog after he played with one similiar to this on vacation with my dad's dog. He absolutely loves this toy. He plays with the pieces separately and together (my husband and I help with the together). He's pretty rough on all of his toys, but these have stayed together well. No holes, no missing tails. Great product.
DOGS love them!I found this on a clearance rack at Petsmart, and immediately grabbed the box knowing how good of a deal it was. I've wanted to buy this toy for my dogs forever, but didn't want to spend $20 bucks on it just for them to tear it up. At first my dogs didn't know what to do with it, but after giving them a few hints, they got it. My boyfriend and I used the toy as a reward for being good. So for a while, we kept it on a shelf and only used it for that reason. My dogs are more interested in the squirrels (must be the squeak factor,) and always fight over one squirrel. I think they're tough enough for my two dogs (one is a GSD, the other is a border collie.) to play tug-of-war with. They're constantly pulling on their tails/heads; poor squirrels! We've had it for about a year, and only one of the squirrels' tails are a bit ragged and the tree stump is still in perfect condition. They love this toy so much, they sleep with it!
Review of Hide-a-SquirrelMy two dogs love this toy. They play with it for hours and somehow manage not to completely rip it apart.They both even brought a squirrel with them into their dogs beds a few nights. I highly recommend it to other dog owners.
